Zank-a-thon

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Today we headed out to a Zank-a-thon at the family farm in Ripon to see Matt's fam. It was his Uncle's 50th birthday so we all got together for good food and convo.

Papa Steve and Mama Jeano. It was good seeing these guys. It's been awhile!

Matt stole Granny Zank's glasses. She is PISSED!

Luckily he made up for it by letting her wear his Brewer's hat. She is the coolest Granny you'll ever meet!

Matt is holding Emma. Emma is a new addition to the Zank clan. She is a Chi-weiner-wa - which is a mix between a weiner dog and a chiuaua! She was a cutie!

Friday, April 25th

Friday was a "break" from work as I headed down to Madison with some gal pals and another lady for a self-advocacy workshop. It was great to take a road trip and be out of the building.

I picked Kelly up bright and early and we headed into the gas station for a few staple items. Namely coffee, cough syrup, kleenex, cough drops, toilet paper, nail polish, the kitchen sink....J/K. Kelly had to stock up due to her sinus infection. What a trooper!

AKON was also at the gas station when we arrived stocking up on the necessities. Here she is trying to hide her annoyance with the weird, southern old lady cashier who was slow as hell checking out about 50 people. UGH!

Ziegler caught up with us at Rolling Meadows. Right here we have an oxymoron. On the left, we have a cell whisperer. On the right we have a cell yeller. Quite an experience to observe these two in action!

Paula (right) and Jo led the way down to Madtown. Paula (DT) is great company and we all hope to hang out with her more often after this. She is the only person I know who has dissed and dismissed a movie star that was hitting on her (Stephen Dorff).

Of course, Kel and I saw this day as a perfect opportunity to update our blogs. Here she is in action!

Check out the size of that noggin! Holy cow! It's like a grapefruit on a toothpick! I'm sure she had a lot of explaining to do with all the bruises she incurred on this trip. Worse yet, the rest of us had to explain OUR bruises from her melon! Watch it, AKON! :)

After a few hours of soaking up some great info, we decided to sow down at the Great Dane - one of my favorite places to eat in Madison!

To my left was my buddy, Kelly. Aw, this is a cute pic! One of my long fingers got in the lens. I can't help the length of my fingers. My hubby's happy, that's all I have to say about that.

To my right we have Julie, AKON, Jo and Paula. AKON is ecstatic that we are inside away from any huge flags. Whew!

One of my paparazzi shots of Ziegler in her sunglasses.

This is how we saw Julie most of the time that day. She has an amazing talent at talking on cell phones without showing it. We call her the cell whisperer.

AKON hiding either from a huge flag overhead or from the embarassment of her huge head. Just kidding. Her head isn't THAT big.

The source of the stench that filled the car the entire road trip. I'll leave it at that. Bye bye now.

Wednesday, April 23rd - Our 2nd Brewer Game!

Saturday, April 26, 2008

Our second Brewer game of the year took place on Wednesday at 7:05. Of course we got there early to tailgate and enjoy the sun.

Matty cooked us a feast of venison brats and potatoes on the gas grill as we sat in the preferred parking lot. It was a beautiful day for tailgating.

Matt checking out the ugly, obnoxious Phillies iddiot behind us in the lot. He was going to kick the guy's ass, but then he remembered that he was drinking a fuzzy navel wine cooler which would have caused HIS ass to be kicked.

At this moment, I was contemplating quitting my job and becoming a career tailgater.

Need a pick me up after a long-ass day of work? Try Sparks Light! It restores the energy lost from dealing with iddiots all day. Sparks Light: A refreshing and satisfying way to start out every sporting event!

With our hunger and thirst satisfied, we were ecstatic to get the show on the road! For the second time this year, we scored great seats!!!

The view from Section 120, Row 20, Seats 1&2 (aisle seats of course).

Our pal, Jay, happened to be only one section away from us at the game. Good to see you, Jason!!!

He was really excited to see us!

Geoff Jenkins returned to Miller Park this game as a Philly. He was very warmly welcomed by all the fans with a standing ovation. Luckily he couldn't hit for shit that night cuz it was a close game!

Matt was sweating the score at this point in the game. Either that or he was steaming about the iddiots who kept making us get up to get more damned beer.

Prince Fielder getting ready to hit his first of 2 homeruns in the game.

Prince saved the game for us by smackin' the game winning homerun in the 8th inning. Thank goodness, cuz we were tired!

I must end this post with a pic of my J.J. "Hottie". I couldn't get any really good shots of him on the field so I resorted to the pic on the big screen.

My apologies

Monday, April 21, 2008

Hello all. So I've caught some flack for not updating my blog. I admit, I've let it slide a little bit. Luckily I have a couple more random shots below from the weekend. Maybe it's the hectic couple of days I've had at work or the fact that I'm contact-less and my glasses are giving me headaches. I promise you some great shots this week. Matt and I will be heading to Brewer Game #2 on Wednesday night. As a tribute to that, I give you the pic below of Stanley sporting the Brewer's hat.

The profile shot.

Captain Polka's Mission

Sunday, April 20, 2008

Dan - aka Captain Polka - came to our house this weekend to prove something to all of us. Never have we seen this young man or anyone for that matter engorge themselves on so much food in one sitting. Clearly he had a mission.

This was just the beginning of Stewie's Sow Down. This young man put down chips, dip, steak, cheese curds, mushrooms, catfish, beer and a Dairy Queen oreo blizzard all within a few hours. He was a hurtin' man that night.

The horrible pain of getting nailed in his "funny bone" should have been a premonition to the pain Dan would be feeling later on that night.

Here he sits in agony. His stomach rumbling. The dizziness setting in. His "deep" hiccups torturing his motionless body. Stewie...Mission Accomplished.

Last Week

Thursday, Erin and I hopped in her Saturn and headed down to 3 Aces on Main. Yeah, that's right...we really went there. My contacts are out of commission - hence the 4 eyes look from me.

Hello, Wednesdays!

Wednesday, April 9, 2008

Erin and I enjoy wine and subs nearly every Wednesday night. Of course documentation of this sacred event is needed, thus the pic.

Erin checkin' out my blog.

While all the sisterly bonding is going on, Matt finds bondage with his boys over the Xbox headset. Masterboxing is what I call it.

Last Saturday - April 5, 08

Bradley D enviously checking out his sis-in-law's amazingly riveting blog. Notice the intense focus.

Here is Dan perusing through the latest issue of Xbox Magazine. He's learning the latest tips and tricks for his next masterboxing session with my husband. Sounds dirty, doesn't it?!

Peter sitting contently on the Zank family couch. Enjoying the blissful refreshment of a 7up. White soda is his life.

None of us could rip Brad from staring at my fantastically entertaining blog. Poor bastard doesn't have the internet at his house so he latches on wherever he can.

I finally ripped my boys from the house and brought them out on the town. We headed to Sebastian's for a great dinner and even greater conversation. Never a dull moment with this crew!

Bradley starting to get his game on after the boys spotted a group of hotties in the corner of the restaurant.

According to Dan the first sign of good weather is a Corona in the hand. It was definitely beautiful weather that weekend since Dan enjoyed 10 glorious Coronas.

Pete, on the other hand, had had his last white soda for the night. The sugar shock finally hit him at the bar and we lost him.

Here's Brad's "playa" face as he goes in for the kill texting the hotties in the corner. I don't know how any female could resist this gorgeous specimen :)

I was also a "mad texter" that night. Kelly, her mom, and her hubby were in deep convo with me over text for a good chunk of the night. After going back and forth about various topics such as shriveled penises, horses and beastiality, I received this awesome picture text from the sickos! Awww!

The night ended on a sweet note when we all decided to engorge ourselves on ice cream! Naughty but oh so nice!!! Dan, Matt and Me waiting for our treats!
