Stanny and I decided to hit the road for a walk in the sunny, beautiful 84 degree weather on Sunday. Fortunately it's still October and this weather is amazing. UNfortunately, I dread the coming of Winter because I'm sure we'll feel the pain upon it's arrival. Here are some shots of the Fall colors around FDL - Beautiful!

Hey Auchue! Stan and I walked our morning route so these pics should be familiar - oh wait, we usually can't see this stuff that early.

Stan was PUMPED to get out into the beautiful weather. Unfortunately he and I BOTH underestimated the heat because by the end of the walk, his tongue was hanging farther out of his mouth than I had ever seen and he was desperately trying to walk in every shadow he could find. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and I was dripping sweat when I got home. YIKES!

Some of the trees on 4th street are so cool! They are reddish/orange from a distance, but have this golden yellow color in the middle.

Stan sniffed this leaf for like 5 minutes.

He sniffed everything for 5 minutes. Of course in addition to sniffing this tree, he had to mark it as his territory as well.

The sun was relentless! I loved it, but MAN 84 degrees is HOT!

Stanny spotted a squirrel and slowed up the pace to stare at it in anger.

We got much needed relief for a little bit as the sun hid behind a screen of clouds.

Hopefully you all got to enjoy the weather as well. Beware! The farmer's almanac apparently says that this upcoming winter is suppoed to be WORSE than last winter! UGH!
