Sunday, Sept 28th - "See You in Heaven"

My grandma died on Sunday. I saw her on Saturday to say goodbye. It was rough, I'll be honest. She was in and out - sometimes talking gibberish, sometimes showing some humor. It was scary, sad and at the same time comforting knowing she would be at peace and truly happy again very soon. When I sat at her bedside to hold her hand and speak with her one last time, I was lucky enough to hear her say that she loved me more than anything in the world. She thanked me for coming to see her and asked me for a kiss before I left - which of course I gave to her. I told her I loved her and to say hello to grandpa when she saw him to which I'm almost positive I heard her say, "I'll tell grandpa that on my way to see him, I had to stop and talk to a few people before I left." I'm so glad I was one of those people...I love you, Grandma. God Bless you and keep you at peace always. I'm so happy now that you're happy....
