Day of Celebration!
Sunday, May 4, 2008
This past Saturday was quite the day of celebration! Our night started out with a reception at the Legion Hall for Anna and Paul. They got married in February in Vegas and saved the celebration and dinner for friends and family at home. Not only was it a wedding reception, but also a softball team reunion!
The beautiful bride, Anna! Yes, you are seeing her behind the bar! She not only enjoyed the night of her life, but she ran it like a well oiled machine! She was behind the bar more than once making sure everyone was served and happy! She clearly reverted back to her McDonald's days!
Shelly visited from Illinois! That FIB! Here she is checking out my husband! Either that or she is making fun of how long it takes my camera to flash a damn picture!
The supportive Matts. Bug (Matt on the left), with his rosy cheeks and my Matt with his sweet smile tough out the night as their wives go crazy with the softball team on the dance floor.
Nobody can stop her! She was serving up shots, drinks and beers for quite a while!
Susie, Shelly and Laurie pose for a fierce shot.
The matriarch of our softball team, Lynn. From the looks of this pic, it appears that she might either be a midget (excuse me...little person) or there are some huge men behind her. You be the judge.
Here we have Susie (or as we call her, Q). At this point in the night she is suffering from extreme caffeine intoxication! This girl can pound the Pepsi like none other!
Here we have newly married Mel. I remember this girl from 4-H as a pigtailed little girl with glasses who was quite outspoken!! Stop with the 4-H jokes everyone!
Proud mamas, Shelly and Bobbie. All night they were flashing pics of their daughters - for good reason! They are CUTIES! I was just happy to have had a pic of Stanley on me to keep up with them! :)
Paul and Amberlie. What a strapping young couple! Paul does NOT have white man's dancing disease! This boy can MOVE!
Random dance scene. Break it down, Q, Amberlie and Bobbie!
I promised Barbie this trippy pic would make the blog. How could it not?? It's a good illustration of how people were feeling at this point in the night.
Me and Shelly right before I left for the night. I miss you Shel!!! Come back to us!
I caught the last couple of seconds of the softball team dancing to our theme song, "Toxic". It got a little blurry on me at the end, but at least you get to see some asses shaking before that!
