Road Trip Gone Bad

After a successful and relaxing experience at the Zankground - Matt and I spiffed ourselves up and hit the road for a 2 hour drive to Mosher's wedding in Barneveld! Along the drive we enjoyed beautiful weather, scenery.....but then it hit. A shaking of the car that neither of us had ever experienced before.

Matt was decked out in his wedding attire and was in serious party mode, when the stupid car started to act up only 4o miles from our destination.

After suffering through miles of weird shaking in the car's engine, we witnessed the hellatious blinking of the damned engine light. Our hopes were slowly being shattered.Upon the advice of the ever wise Papa Zank and Uncle Gary, we needed to stop immediately to get some gas treatment to medicate our sick vehicle.
My disappointment and anger took over as I realized the amazing time I was unable to partake in at the Mosher wedding. I was pissed. At this point, Matt and I decided that the 2 hour road trip must be cut short. We decided not to risk being stuck in Barneveld and rather reluctantly chose to head home for safety. Matt forms a fist of hope and prayer that we safely get to Fond du Lac.

Another phone call to Papa Steve revealed that we might want to stop for more fuel treatment. We not only had God on our side, but Steve was also there for support.
Crossing our fingers that this might do the trick.
Matt adds more gas to the car in Columbus with hopes that it might help speed the recovery process.
Damn he looked good in his wedding attire!

To those of you who are wondering, the damn engine light still hasn't gone off in the car which leads us to believe that we might have a large bill in the near future. We were both pretty freaked out by the shaking that we endured in that car. A theory: we might have put bad gas into the tank since the gas station we went to was flooded by the storm?? Who knows?? All I do know is that I'm very disappointed that I wasn't able to partake in the Mosher festivities as was evidenced on Kelly's blog. For what it's worth - Congratulations Scott andKatie!
